Bosch tankless water heater review

Bosch tankless water heater review.
This is review from one of my customer.
I would recommend this to anyone who has done their research. Tankless water heaters are not a new product;
they've been used overseas for decades. However, for the U.S. they are slow to get off the ground . Hence,
any product different than what we have now is not going to be "as convenient"
as what we know .I purchased the Bosch tankless water heater to replace a 50 gal heater that was due to
be replaced due to poor maintenance - it was noisy too, but the primary motivation for a tankless water heater was
space! I ordered the outside model , and I'm VERY happy with this product. The best thing, after
saving enough space for me to install a washer/dryer in one (another new unconventional product that is a delight),
is the LIMITLESS hot water. I live alone usually, but right now my daughter is here temporarily, so being able to
take showers without having to wait for the hot water to replenish is wonderful. There is also NO bubbling and
gurgling sounds while the tank heats up the new water. Needless to say, my bills do reflect a savings; not as great
as it would be if I still had the temperature set as it was with the old heater. I couldn't afford to have the
water as hot as I wanted for clothes and dish washers - I tried it one month and the increase was immediate and
untenable; but now I have a lower bill and the temperature is much higher. Also, I'm sure that I'm taking slightly
longer showers because the hot water doesn't run out, so I'm not rushed to shave my legs and wash my hair as I used
to be!The ONLY downside that is that the water temperature sometimes changes to colder or hotter, and I'm not sure
why. However, I can feel it coming and adjust the cold water to compensate. I've done some research on this issue,
and one guy said it's not possible to have a trickle from the hot water, it either has to be on full or off,
and the cold water is adjusted up or down as needed. This seems to work. I hardly even notice this variance at all
anymore. Another issue I'd read from other reviews was that it took longer for the hot water to arrive at the
faucet, so they don't think the savings is as great because you have to run the water to get hot. Well, I don't
think this is true. Whether the water comes from a conventional tank or the tankless water heater, it still has to travel
the same distance if the tankless is in the same spot as the tank. The water in the pipes isn't as hot as the
water leaving the tank. Anyway, my home is small, but I don't feel any size home will wait a significant amount
of time longer than they did before.I ordered the larger size water heater even for my small home because for the
price difference it seemed reasonable to have more options to run at least two different applications at the
same time. So I can take a shower and run either the clothes or dishwasher at the same time without a problem.
Another homeowner I know who has a much bigger home simply ordered 2 larger water heaters to accomdate the space,
and they are happy with this product too.Needless to say, this is a great product because it requires less space,
is very energy efficient, and lasts much longer than conventional water heaters. It does cost more to install than
the conventional because it will take some reconfiguration (mine is a gas model), but I feel the pros of this
product outweighed this additional consideration. The temperature variance issue is a MINIMAL annoyance that
I've gotten used to, but you have to do you homework and decide if this can work for you. If you have a family
of 4 or more, I believe it can still work, but you would have to be conscious of the applications used at any
given time, and use wouldn't be as spontaneous. But it seems a small adjustment for a helping to conserve energy.
